Bred in 1954, this older Hybrid Tea has stood the test of time and is still popular today. The long ovid buds open slowly to reveal a perfect spiral form. Ours tends to have few petals in the dead of summer but its also a young plant that may need more time to get going. Purchased as an inexpensive bare root, this rose has performed admirably for us despite being somewhat prone to black spot. With a good spraying program this rose could be a good performer in any South Florida garden, especially if grafted on to Fortuniana.
