The Shepherdess Rose

The Shepherdess Rose

The Shepherdess

Another great rose from David Austin. This is one of the best performing roses in our entire garden. Soft peachy blooms fade to buff ivory sometimes leaning towards pink. The cupped blooms have a faint myrrh fragrance. A very prolific bloomer, this rose is always in bloom or full of buds. It also one of the most compact of the Austin roses staying neat at about 3 feet tall and wide. The Shepherdess forms a nice bushy shrub that rarely gets leggy and has excellent disease resistance. May be suitable for the no spray garden. Ours grows wonderfully grafted on Fortuniana rootstock.
