One of the best Austin roses for South Florida, Pat Austin is a profuse bloomer and produces very pretty coraly-orange blossoms that measure up to 4 inches across. The blooms are a bit delicate in the dead of summer so we would advise cutting them for the vase during the hottest months. Conditioning them in cool deep water in the refrigerator for at few hours will get them to last longer in the vase. The blooms have a nice fruity scent with no hint of myrrh. This is a very highly recommended variety for South Florida, especially if grafted onto Fortuniana such as ours is.
