You know this rose will do well here with a nickname like The Florida Cracker Rose. This large growing bush covers itself with medium sized carmine colored blooms that fade to pink on the edges and have a nice old-fashioned rose scent. This old garden rose seems to be somewhat twiggy and has more stems than leaves. The bush can grow to be 6 feet wide when its happy and should be given plenty of room. But ours has remained small in the three years that we’ve grown it on its own roots. Maybe this is the year it will take off.
