One of the most loved and widely grown English Roses, Evelyn boast large peach colored blooms with perfect rosette forms. The small round buds open to reveal unusually large blooms packed with petals surrounding a charming button eye. This is one of the best David Austin roses to grow in the South, despite its somewhat lanky growth habit and average disease resistance (its vigor makes up for it). Evelyn would do well as a short climber but can be grown as a stand alone bush towards the back of the boarder under planted with shorter roses or perennials to hide its bare legs. Despite its faults in growth habit, this rose is one of the best performers in South Florida and is extremely recommended. Ours is grown on Fortuniana.
