Duchess De Brabant

This Earthkind rose is one of the easiest roses to grow in South Florida and will reward you with many small rounded blooms of medium pink. Also known as the Teddy Roosevelt rose, it was thought to be his favorite rose as he often wore a bloom from this antique rose in his lapel. This rose grows well on its own roots and will quickly form and nice rounded shrub about 4ft by 4ft. It gets better with age and will even tolerate some shade. This rose is ideal for the no-spray garden and is one of our highly recommended roses for beginners. It’s lesser-known sport- Mme Joseph Schwartz retains all of this tea rose’s good qualities while producing soft white blooms tinged with pink. Both are excellent roses and both are highly recommended. Improves with age so give it time.
